A new innovation pathway for EPS
Can EPS construction waste be given a new purpose in paints and coatings? Together with international partners, Plat & Plat is exploring an innovative application in which EPS construction waste is processed into a 30:70 blend for wall paint, high-gloss paint for wooden surfaces and floor coatings.
Over the coming period, we will investigate whether this innovation pathway could contribute to more sustainable construction and renovation practices in the Netherlands. The aim is to assess its technical feasibility, explore potential applications and determine which next steps are needed to put this solution into practice.
Circular Plastics Foundation is monitoring and supporting this innovation pathway to give plastic waste streams a valuable new purpose.
